On January 2, 1992, the body of Polly Anne Collins Lynch was found on Old Swamp Road in Camden County, approximately 15 feet off the roadway by a person walking in the area.  Ms. Lynch had died as a result of gunshot wounds to her head.

Ms. Lynch was last seen on December 28, 1991 at the Fire House Bar located on Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, Virginia.  She lived in the Chesapeake area and most of her family and friends were from the Tidewater area of Virginia.  At the time of her murder, Ms. Lynch was 33-years-old and the mother of a 12-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son.
