At approximately 11:45 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Wal-Mart Superstore in Sylva, an explosion caused injuries to five people. Investigators determined that an explosive device (IED) was deliberately placed in the area of the small propane tanks used for camping. Three persons of interest arrived together at the Wal-Mart, a female and two males. Investigators are attempting to identify these subjects to interview.
The composite sketch is one of the subjects who was in the area moments before the explosion. He was described as a white male, approximately 190 lbs. weight, 6' height, late 30s to early 40s age, with reddish-brown hair pulled into a pony-tail.
