To help educate young people about the dangers of prescription drug abuse, we're sponsoring a video contest for North Carolina high school students.
Create a brief public service announcement video on teen prescription drug abuse and submit it for a chance to win prizes.
Attorney General Roy Cooper and the NC Department of Justice have partnered with the
National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, the
North Carolina Parent Resource Center, and the
Governor’s Institute on Substance Abuse to sponsor the contest.
Winners will receive prizes including:
Gift cards donated by the Governor’s Institute on Substance Abuse.
iPod touch donated by the North Carolina Parent Resource Center.
iPad donated by the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.
Who Can Enter
Students enrolled in grades nine through 12 in North Carolina are eligible to enter.
How to Enter
1. Produce your original video.
2. Upload your video to YouTube by May 1, 2013.
3. Send an email to
stoprxabuse@ncdoj.gov that includes the link to your video, your name, grade level, and school name.
4. Complete the
Application/Release form and mail it along with a transcript of your video to:
Applications must meet all entry requirements to be entered into the competition.
Submissions will be judged solely via videos posted at YouTube. Please don’t attach video files to your email. Email with video attached may be quarantined and might not be received by competition officials.
